Andy Doig is a Scotsman living in Paris, and commenced lighting design in 1985.

3D design and visualisation clients include Prince, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode , Dire Straits and Jean Michel Jarre.

He has continued to design and operate lighting systems for a variety of live performers including Prince, the Stone Roses, Morcheeba, Andrea Bocelli, Toto, and Paul McCartney, Indochine, Natasha St Pier and I Muvrini.  His strong interest in projection has progressed from Pigi and xenon projectors to digital 3d mapping and expertise in this domain has resulted in pedagogic work in Paris.

His touring career prior spans The Cure, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, Live Aid and Knebworth. His first project as lighting designer was for Chris de Burgh and he continued to design shows for Chris over 10 years. with over 1000 shows and more than 30 different designs across the world.

Large scale lighting and visual design projects include the Doha Asian Games opening and closing ceremonies, Armenia’s 20th anniversary of independence, the Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies in Kuala Lumpur and Manchester, the ship naming ceremony of the Arcadia and the World Cup Stadium opening ceremony at the Stade de France in Paris.

His special projects lighting designs include the inauguration of Canary Wharf in London, La Duchere at the festival of light in Lyon,2 National Days of Oman, Hampton Court Classical Festivals ,the BAFTA award winning Symphony for the Spire Concert at Salisbury Cathedral and Emir Kusturica’s punk opera Le temps des Gitans at the Palais de Congres in Paris.
